Fireplaces We Love Heading into Fall!

Okay now that it’s September it’s basically fall right? Pumpkin spice lattes are in full swing, Hobby Lobby has had Halloween decor out since July and basically every grocery store has candy corn. When we think of fall, we think of cozying up by the fireplace with a nice hot cup of coffee! The fireplace can be so versatile in a home! Whether you deck it out every holiday with decor, hang a mirror or TV above or stack art… there’s so many ways to make your fireplace stylish and functional!

This fireplace is a great architectural feature in this living room! Adding the mirror above lightens the space and makes the room feel larger than it actually is. Pro tip: if you room is feeling crammed, add a mirror and it’ll automatically make it feel bigger!

Even if you don’t have a fireplace in your home you can still create the same look with a repurposed mantel! This exactly what I did in my guest bedroom to make it warm and inviting for guests. Something about a fireplace instantly makes a room feel cozier! Layering art creates some dimension and adds interest.

If you really want the fireplace to stand out, paint the walls an opposite color or vice versa! If you don’t want the fireplace to pop make it all the same color to create a monochromatic look to blend the two together.

For us, the mantle is what truly makes the fireplace stand out. By changing out your mantle you can inexpensively upgrade your fireplace!
